Fresh from his Dragon Man album taking the Beatport sales charts hostage with all ten tracks charting in the Top 100, Marco Bailey returns to his native MB Elektronics with a double a-side of typically rousing techno.
Purple Haze is Marco on archetypal peak-time form as he brings together a seething mass of unrelenting drums, tense atmospheric effects and oscillating 303 lines punctuated by a powerful breakdown. Brikeljoo keeps up the energy levels but swaps out the epic feel for a more stripped back, heads-down percussive workout that brings the funk via a cut up disco loop
The EP also includes two remixes of Purple Haze. Joseph Capriati delivers a signature megaton bomb; transforming the original into a throbbing firecracker of marching beats. Axel Karakasis completes the package with his version that fuses rounded tribal drums and cut up vocal loops to create an intense and pounding groove for the harder floors.
