Hy there,
I was wondering if some1 can help me with some advises. I got my music classified in labels with catalog number, it;s in a good order. But the thing is i guess that it's better to categorize it by the music style? so that i remember it faster? Or how it would be better?
Any suggestions are welcome.

When I played vinyl I ordered them mostly by genre, plus the latest 50-100 releases unordered in front of everything else.buggzy wrote:Hmm so it's a good way by the vinyl label to organize, i use this style to, but was wondering if it's a better one. So i guess depends on the person like you said patrick =].
Today when I play digital via Traktor, I order by month (=release date) and also by genre (plus there are other easy sorting capabilities too).
hm cant talk out of experience, cause i dont play digital.
but batemans way seems kind of good.
though genre sorting is the best in my opinion.
monthly sorting only helps you if you know what you looking for, and then the chances are high that you know the name or label, and just use the search function.
but often you know only the genre you want to play, and then the month you bought a track is not really helpful.
so genre sorting is kind of my favourite.
