aemulator - Unnamed 1st track (needs feedback)

Post by anselm_eickhoff »

Hi community!

I'm a 17-year old guy from Germany. I've been mixing minimal for almost a year and now I tried some producing myself.

While it is not exactly minimal, because pretty melodious and synth-centered, here is what I have of my first track so far (intro, 1st peak):

I made it in ableton and used stuff I learned from tutorials (especially dubspot) plus a lot of experimentation.

I would love to hear what I can improve regarding the mix, song structure and single elements!

Thanks for listening and giving feedback!

I think the first melody-synth is somewhat annoying, and maybe a tad reverb heavy. Try make your percussion stand out more in the mix and try to have a little more structure in your songs.

Which synth do you mean? The first one, which is simply arped, or the main one after the break?

How should I bring more structure in the song? Add more breaks, clearer development or what?

Thanks for your feedback!
