yeah this ctrl stuff is in beta but it is pretty bad ass... and like STML said... it is free! you could also pay for software like soundquest. (http://www.squest.com/)

Anyways... it should be straightforward to setup.
Go here download the pc VST copy it to your vst plugin folder
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ctrlrv4/files/Windows/

Support forum in here:
http://ctrlrv4.sourceforge.net/viewforu ... 61b8719e34

(sorry was typing this as you already had figured this out.)

it took me about an hour or so before i figured out how to get mine working for the juno... and its a little bit wonky... but its better than being restricted to the patches. So basically I have a beta VST that sounds nothing like one. :)

its a fun synth, a bit limited sonically

the controller is certainly helpful for it

but the synth has to switch between edit mode and midi mode

therefore you can't tweak the synth with the controller while its sync'd to the rest of your gear

the virtual editors might be better at this, I sold mine before trying any out

on a side note it was one of the synths used on the original Terminator soundtrack, so that is pretty awesome

Hey chaps,
I've done some homework and unless anybody can tell me otherwise, it looks like that the JX3P needs a Midi kit added on to accept other CC Midi data.
No SysEx or CC support was implemented according to some of the pages I browsed.
Anyway thanks for your help in my quest.
This analogue stuff is fantastic by the way and not just the warmth of it but I'm also finding it's encouraging me to actually play and record, instead of mouse clicking.

I got the Organix MIDI mod installed in my JX-3P last year, which is great - let’s me edit and automate sounds via Logic Pro’s Environment... but, if you can be patient for a few(?) months, this kit (www.kiwitechnics.com/jx3pupgrade.htm) looks even better! Would love to have some of those features (a 2nd LFO!!, tuner for DCO-1, Portamento etc etc).
Total €xtravaganc€, but am v tempted to replace the Organix mod with the Kiwitechnics :? Bah.

Thanks but it seems the guy won't be making any more this year.
Any other kits about?

The sequencer on the Jx3p is where the fun is. Its similar to the Sh101 sequencer as you can clock it from an external trigger.
