Camel - Tactile

Post by Camel »

So, with the feedback I got from the forum, I went back to my cave and made a new track..

I'm really curious what you guys think of the track. Of the composition, the mix, arrangement, feel free to criticize everything!

Thanks for taking the time to listen :)

Sounds ok by my ears! Good job.

The kick might not work perfectly on the dancefloor, though. The reverb of the party hall gets added on top of the reverb present, resulting in a muddy mess. So DJ's generally prefer dry kicks. (At least I think you reverbed your kick, I'm listening it on a shitty backup system so I might be wrong.)

True, I layered a pitched down, filtered clap on the kick which is sent to my reverb buss. I understand what you mean with the dry kick. I'll try if less rvb or perhaps letting only the higher frequencies through will make the kick a bit dryer.

Thanks for taking the time!
