I think this is cool and a great direction for music software. BUT!!! Thats a crapload of data to be run through Ableton's midi remote scripts. Its totally not built for that amount of interaction. I have no doubt that this will shave quite a bit off from the CPU on your music machine.
Getting Data in and out of live is cool but it has some serious limitations such as processing speed and missed data. I don't see this working out too well. You can clearly see from the frame rate in the demo.

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the nice comments! We received word from apple that they're reviewing the app since friday morning. Nothing promised, but it might be available by monday ;-)

The script is actually very lightweight on the processor. It shaves around 2% when running Ableton Live with 12 Tracks playing.
The only data being run through the midi scripts during usage is feedback meters / clip positions. Everything else, including clips - volumes, devices etc are preloaded onto the iPad and only updated when changed in Live. We limited the framerate of feedbacks and clip positions to 15 to avoid filling up the WiFi and use too much CPU on the script.
The low framerate is solely due to recording the screencast and running touchAble in the simulator - on the iPad its fluent.

Great part about the ipad is that it's still just at the beginning. With the current explosion of available music apps this might really be a great tool for musicians for years!
