i couldn't get it cleared you are correct, i would have loved to give it a proper release, but some things are not meant to be
the most important thing is that people enjoy it.

How does the clearing process work, you simply write to the copyright holder and ask/make an offer?

something like that yeah, but sometimes you are not lucky when it comes to the person owning the rights. in this case the original track was released in 1973 - produced by vangelis (chariots of fire)
he has no interest in any of his songs being redone.....
with yann tiersen for instance, it was another story. i got in contact with him directly, (he had never let anyone license or remix his work officially) through a friend, he loved the remix i made and GAVE it to me. he asked no money and just sent a compliment
sometimes u r lucky others not.

to the dude who wants the version without vocals, sorry cant do it. not possible. also the vocals are my favorite part of the track

Btw, if anyone ever wants to get samples cleared, these guys are a possibility. Takes away a lot of the hassles that clearing can be.
