Look at the shape that god is in from Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam". I think it says it all.

The shape that god is in, is a human brain. Suggesting that the christian god exists only in the mind of man. Michelangelo's work often focused on the human anatomy, and often contained hidden meanings.
