One good method for learning is to get a splitter for your headphone jack. Then, hook up an extra set to listen in while your friend mixes records.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I reckon the weed would defo make things worse!!

Its just a bit frustrating at the start i guess but hopefully with more practice should be able to master it.

i cant remember findin it too hard, like everyones said, its just case of practicing and not gettin frustrated..
my mate taught himself by syncing a track to a metronome and vice versa!! thats not a bad idea!

try to tap the tempo along one track and then another, you should get it quite quick which one is slower or faster. I know it helps me sometimes

(imo mixing very slow tracks is kinda harder - especially keeping them in sync for a long time as I like my transitions long)
