for me its so-so. sometimes I listen but if I'm very tired I prefer silence (and weird sounds from the house, cuz I live in a quite old one).
biosphere and monolake - gobi will definitely do it, radian also. Think that autechre and BOC are a bit too "active" for sleeping.
once i tryed to get very interesting and smoked myself high, robert henke - floating.point playin, put my sennheisers on and went to sleep.
woke up like "wtf was that all about"??
pleasant though.
how many of you listen to music before sleep?

i remember when i first listened to tan dream - alpha centauri that i had a really trippy dream. the album is a peak of their experimentation with electronics, so you can only hear various modulated synth lines and spooky textures. all i know that at some point, i opened my eyes and saw all those lines sweaping across the room, yet i was tottaly unaware where i am. the music sounded like it was a soundtrack to a horror movie, which scared the sh!t out of me.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.
