Aconito Records’ newest acquisition, Alessio Pili, has joined forces with naxacid to release his debut album: DGT is sh!t; a provocatory title for an EP dedicated to a world that is slowly losing the inner soul of the cult of vinyl and djing.
DGT is sh!t reverberates with a deep and dark sonority that reminisces of dank and decadent urban cybernetic ambiances. Clipped analogue sounds collide with metallic drones, clips, and elegant distortions to create daunting industrial atmospheres that modulate the hypnotic and driving rhythm of the analog drums and acid bass lines.
The two versions differ in their emphasis on the rhythmic: driving and smooth in the edit version, harder and more incisive in the original in order to preserve the atmospheric, cybernetic and industrial flavour that makes up the inner particularity of the project’s sonority.
