I think the person in question needs to check up on his techno history first before it's anything different from going to any other stores...

But besides that I agree with you.

you're right...i took it in a callous, smarmy way...

but part of me is going "no one has heard of hardwax / rotations / melting point" by this point?

i apologize, but everyone knows i say things off the cuff and in quick retort.

This question...

There are record stores everywhere in Berlin...

I agree with cloutier. Anyone into house/techno should have heard of Hardwax and Submerge.

Rotation and melting point are nice, i loved the 3€ promos there...

Hardwax is the dopest. Great quality recordings, professional staff, rare stuff, plus all the honest jon's...

Are there any good after parties in Berlin?

Oh, and where can I find beer there?

for rare recordings discogs is best no question bout that and i found much more 'rare' releases in space hall but still bigger prices than discogs...
its all about the rhythm

Kindly, I suggest you to read again my question that it isn't: are there vinyl shop in Berlin? But where can I find a vinyl shop in Berlin? I think there is some kind of difference.

discogs allows you to buy what you already know...
there's no use comparing a website and a record store. when i talk about rare stuff i meant stuff you can find on discogs but not in any other record store. and honestly i feel better in a store than behind a computer.

didn't mean to be offensive. there are just heaps of record stores in berlin, google can help to find the famous ones, but just walk around one day and you'll come across several shops where you can potentialy find amazing records in any genre of music.

this is just my opinion about berlin, the best experience is to walk with no specific goal and see the surprises the city has to offer.

any tourist book will tell you about the obvious and famous places (clubs-record stores-bars), but it's definatly not useful in berlin imo.

so my answear to your question is : anywhere in kreuzberg/fschain/prenzlauer berg etc.
