Hi guys,
I have been into building my own MIDI-controller for quite some time now and i really would like to begin now. I would like to make it look like the old Doepfer MIDI-controllers (e.g. Doepfer Pocket Control or maybe Pocket Dial).
Do you guys know where i can find some cheap parts for this? and maybe a tutorial on the basic things i need to know before i begin to build it..
Thanks!

dunno bout your knowledge in electronics and soldering skills, but basically you can build yourself a midi controller with just the things you need.
site may look a bit confusing at the beginning.

+1 to uccaps and Wesen.
Plus, if you build your controller from the ground up, you're gonna to have a significantly superior resolution when you'll turn the encoders (with rotary encoders which are not mechanically detented).
If you have some diy skills, just do it![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
About the encoders, you should check the bulk orders on the ucapps board :

Or...

But I didn't go deep, I don't know if they sell under 1000 pieces. These are juste Thorsten recommandations on Ucapps website.
