AR006: Alex Mark - Sin Qua Non EP
Alex Mark makes his AR debut with two tasty pieces of dance-floor deepness, exhibiting pleasing variation and solid progressions.
The title track is a thick slab of hypnotic techno, with driving bass, floating melodies, and a beautifully airy sense of space. As the title suggests this is an indispensible ingredient for your techno-pantry.
A Disquiet Follows my Soul expresses a lighter mood, whilst maintaining a deep aesthetic. Atmospheric elements tantalise the ears while housey keys and vocal stabs make for a rolling groove that’s sure to keep heads nodding, hips shaking and the floor bouncing.
Mesquitas performs remix duties on Sin Qua Non, emphasising the driving energy of the groove, and giving the original an injection of housier rhythms. His treatment brings the hypnotism of the original to an earlier time-slot, making it a versatile addition.
Suppor the underground, the future is coming.
