i'm surprised this is such a hot topic... not so surprised its already vinyl vs digital debate
i would think more people making intelligent electronic music are in it for the love and fun of it, not money. if money's what an artist is really after shouldn't they actually sell out and produce pop music???
<<<bullshit laptop dj that doesnt give a fck

There are tons of labels on Beatport who interact directly with them without an aggregator, especially all the labels from years ago, before they started to mostly work with aggregators.lcaise wrote:Someone can explain me ?
When We get a beatport as a label, it was 'distro only' shop.
Its something new? Today We don't need an distro ?

Is an artist more 'true' if he has a 9-17 day job, and then does his art and makes no money at all on the art, but since artists also have expenses for apartment, eating and general living, he needs to earn money somewhere else.
maybe poll about whether people like better or worse musicMaiyal wrote:Not really, it would be about 50% vinyl purists, 10% confused people, 10% people who are open to both, 5% laptop djs, and 25% people who just don't give a fck.Themis wrote:a poll on this forum would be interesting.
to be more specific ask urself would u like to hear a better digital music or not as good but spinning vinyl?
