"Murderers And Their Motives" by Jef vermassen (who is a famous murder trial lawyer in belgium). He has done an extensive study about the various kinds of murderers and why they do it. Interesting stuff.

I used to read a hell of a lot of Serial Killer books but went off them in recent years. Jeffrey Dahmer, Harold Shipman, John Gacy etc. The psychology and motive of the killers fascinated me more than the crimes themselves.

Signature Killers. by Robert D. Keppel (The detective that tracked Ted Bundy) is one of the very best I've read.
