Thats good.

I do wonder about a course advertising the "secrets" of anything, it seems a bit hucksterish, but some people do want to take courses to learn to produce music, so good luck to them.

Hi...

So just for a bit of an update...We have updated the course page for the Producing Minimal Tech Course and we have the course running on Logic and Ableton DAWs.

You can check out the new course pages here:

http://www.pointblankonline.net/minimal ... bleton.php

http://www.pointblankonline.net/minimal-techno.php

And if anyone is unsure about what might be on offer...you can see a taster vid from the ableton course here:

Thanks for reading and all feedback is welcome!

I say fair play to PB for remaining professional throughout the (mostly undeserved) savaging he's received on this thread. If you think it's expensive, don't pay it. If you don't like the way someone is advertising their services don't use them. The vitriol displayed here seems to be coming from somewhere other than constructive criticism.

I think they deserve the criticism for nurturing expectations that the courses cant fulfill. The tricks they can teach, everybody can get from the net. What they cant teach is creativity and style! But they make people think that after finishing some course they will make tracks that are creative and have a certain style, which is indicated by the references to Villalobos or Hawtin. Poor way of making money from wrong expectations.

To be fair they've name dropped those guys (and the genre itself) to get more people onboard - not everyone is as clued up as the residents here, and for those guys, seeing these names will help draw them in.

Having said that, what a truly appalling demo. Sort that out.

Now.
