Music ideas, inspiration, the drive for this good music?

Where do you get it from?

: Listening to LiveSets? (Old Artist, New Artists)
: Visiting LiveSets? (I mean.. Clubs.etc.)
: Friends?
: Forums?
: Random s''t?

I personally have listen to 100's of LiveSets and 80% come from them, the ideas they give me. 10% forums, 5% friends, 5% visisting LiveSets (Or Clubs)

Most of the interest and inspiration has come from listening from LiveSets. Nothing better thann sitting at home listening and LEARNING from the greats!!

Your view?

i get inspiration from livesets at home, in a club, just music in general.
my instruments, turning knobs, experimenting etc...
if my friends make amazing music then i might get inspired.
forums can get me think about what i'm doing or what i'm not doing.

What Tone-def said plus... I also like getting out and about recording sounds in the street etc. Put these in the computer, run them through some fx chains and usually end up with some good ideas off the back of it.

As in the vid I normally find I have my ideas when I’m not actually in front of the computer, like when I get up to go for a piss or something, or just as I’m dropping off to sleep at night. They say you’re most creative during RAM sleep actually.

I’m always a lot more creative when I’m well rested, and haven’t been producing for the last 24hrs.
