i know this sounds cheesy, but what about just buying a bcr 2000 and mapping it to the parameters?

you could even spray paint the bcr and put custom labeling on it.

1) less knobs
2) no buttons (EDIT: wrong)
3) the software I want to write will read the values fro the tetra just like DSI software so each knob will know when to start sending new values.
4) less fun! DIY!!! :D
5) less original :D
6) more expensive (not sure)

couple of things I thought about.

will it be set up so that you can switch between editing programs (NRPN's are sent to current midi channel) and combos (NRPN's for all 4 voices are sent to same midi channel) - say with a shift button or something?

Another good thing to have would be using a toggle to be able to use the knobs to control the 4x step sequencer (analogue sequencer style). This is how the evolver keyboards work - all parameters avail by NRPN.

Ability to step through sequence tempates would be cool (like on the editor) - ie. major, minor etc.

Anyway, just some thoughts. I'm definately keen..

Ill take it into account!

It already has some 'shift' buttons :)

Ill start writing and testing the code first so we will see :D
