I thought the examples made it pretty clear what i meant without needing to get caught up in semantics.
for instance, most people would consider Claude Von Stroke, Extrawelt, and Jesse Somfay as the opposite of "laid-back"; their music is generally more aggressive and "big-club" sounding than most of the minimal/house tracks commonly talked about here.
has nothing to do with semantics, and more about understanding common definitions.
anyway, there are literally hundreds of releases that are in the same ballpark as the sound you are looking for....go through Kompakt's back catalog (Triola, etc), Burger/Ink - Las Vegas, or anything by Lawrence to start.
also look/listen on Beatport, and when you find a release you like check out what others bought in the same vein.
