Great release! My favorite is the Birds on TV track, but all of these cuts are fun and well made. Good form, guys!

Loving the dissonant cut-ups and percussion on Chained Toaster. Albatros is great as too: you think you’re in electro/breaks territory, and then there you are in driving minimal/techno land. Great sound design as well.

'Minimal house' is an odd genre, come to think of it, when it can contain
all that these tracks can, from unorthodox percussion to inventive use of
field recordings. But house it is, and minimal it remains, even if layered
to a complexity approaching chaos theory -- such is the recipe of what was
once called k-house. Dreamy whispers grace the perambulatory speed of
'Candid Syrup', while 'We are Chained to a Star' entertains a birdcall-like
chorus against shimmering strings. 'Albatros' plays with beat structure &
the tempo of its rhythmic percussion, allowing its elements to slide back
and forth across its palette like a Ouiji board. Minimal house or even
minimal techno no longer adequately conveys the many moods of these tracks; and mnml this music is not: there is nothing trance formulaic to its
composition. These tracks are, quite simply, 21C odes to the avant garde,
ultramodern to the digital core, even while remaining firmly planted on the
floor.
