Following the success of Siteholder Records, the Chicago based trio of Billy Dalessandro, Brian Ffar, and Daniel Mnookin turn things up a notch with Siteholder UnCut – a digital sub-label currently sold exclusively through Beatport. Featuring the edgier side of techno that initially established the roots for modern day tech house and minimal techno, expect a riskier sound from a wider range of artists (both well known and up and coming) that is bound to please both one’s aural senses as well as a packed dance floor. If Siteholder is any indication of what these Chicago natives have to offer the electronic music global community, UnCut will only serve to further establish a well rounded foundation of serious beats combined with heady intoxication.

ANTISYSTEM EP
It’s been over a year since Pablo Rez debuted on Siteholder UnCut with his track “Osaka,” as one of five artists featured on the “Tumble Dry Low” EP. Since then, he has continued to grow as a producer, having released music on such respected labels as Frankie and MiniSketch. Fast forward to September 2009, and Rez displays a mature studio prowess via his debut UnCut EP, entitled “Antisystem.”
As serious as the EP’s title may sound, these tracks are fun, jackin’, and stripped-down dance floor destroyers. “Planned Obsolescene” demonstrates a playful, summer vibe; giving a nod to Chitown from all the way across the Atlantic in Pablo’s Venice residence. “Subliminal Vibes” espouses a similar feel, reminding us that despite September’s beginning, it’s still summertime as far as Siteholder UnCut is concerned.
