September 16th marks a notable day for LA's own Culprit label, its second release will be available exclusively, world-wide via Beatport! The new EP, 'Animals Tonight' comes to us from adroit Angeleno, Kenneth James Gibson. You're likely familiar with previous creations crafted under some of his many aliases; [a]pendics.shuffle, Reverse Commuter or Dubloner just to name a few.
Gibson's groove-heavy tech-house on 'Animals Tonight' perfectly embodies the West Coast sound Culprit espouses, delivering gritty bass lines focused on late night antics. 'Animals Tonight' combines a darker nocturnal vibe with upbeat percussion and playful vocals by Kelly Johnston on the A side. 'The Forgotten Note' pulses with a funkified synth melody and a steady groove on the B side. Fellow Culprit artists Inxec and Matt Tolfrey create another bass-heavy dancefloor bomb with their rollicking remix.
