[TW03 T] UNKNOWN - TRAVERSABLE WORMHOLE

Post by etteuqam »

if you like marcel dettmann, sleeparchive, monolake or old sahko stuff, than this is your cup of tea.

volume 1 is also amazing.

and it's an unknown longtime techno producer from new york. i think its function. check a mix from him on the mnml ssgs blog, which is really good.

The Traversable Wormhole series continues with two subtly demented warehouse grooves. While previous installments looked to a rush of Millsian or PAS styles, both tracks here are built in menacingly minimal fashion, perfectly compatible with the likes of your Sandwell District or Peter Van Hoesen records. All cliches are reduced to essential markers, from ghoulishly detuned and downpitched stabs to economically deployed synthlines, there's not a sniff of mnml cheese here, just good ol' fashioned darkside reductions that sound unnervingly effective in the club. One for the the Regis and Dettmann crew.
