and to Torque, i value someone's opinion a lot, but if you're saying that a lot of artists who are inspired by the sounds of detroit are frauds, then what do you expect? a thank you? this is pure egotripping

this goes straight into the derrick may bin!
I don't remember anywhere in that article where anybody was called a fraud. However there is a HUGE difference between "inspired" and "imitation". Detroit guys were inspired by Kraftwerk but they didn't sound like them there was a very distinct difference. So you're trying to say that there aren't sh!t ton of people that sound just like a cheap version of Jeff Mills or Robert Hood? Give me a break.....

They aren't frauds, they're perfectly legitimate.
They just legitimately sound like somebody else.

of course there are, but Bone seems to be generalizing a lot about this
as if it's a shame that you're inspired by detroit (and yes he does use the verb inspire in his interview)... and to be honest Bone isn't that unique either...

anyway, i don't like this attitude, period

i do have the right to disagree with what he's saying right?

Yeah it is a giant generalization, you're right. But the only alternative is to be very specific and i don't think interviews like to be printed out that long. Everybody knows the people he is talking about it's not a secret. That interview was targeted at certain people. If you ain't one of 'em then there's nothing to be mad about. I understand not liking the attitude because it doesn't seem very productive. However, peoples emotions run very high on this subject around here and allot of these cats are sick of being dicked around with. Think about how you would feel if you were on the other side.
