yes yes it is fantastic.
try putting a flute sound instead of a clap. organ sounds wicked also.

I always think that when the snares are there, that the hihats appear to be more "swingier" as if they aren't. But maybe that's just imagination.

I was going to write a rant about this subject one day. I am so sick and tired of hearing the same snare sound in every minimal or dubbyish track around. Its even so much the rhythm that is bad its the fact that it always sounds the same. I wish people would use an imaginative sound or even another kind of percussion instrument.

That plain jane snare is so boring. Create a sound... do something but fck off those snares!

Thats how I feel.
