[GER] 24.04 Climb the fence @ Mädcheninternat, Berlin

Post by alexlafouine »

Dear techno students,
For our first party in Berlin, we decided to take over the Mädcheninternat, a mysterious place in the center of our lovely city. Once kindergarden, this venue has been turned into an amazing party place, keeping an authentic flavour of the good old days…No uniforms required though, just your smiles and all your energy are mandatory for this endless party!
Our international teacher crew aka Prof. Audio Werner, Prof. Lemos, Prof. Samybo and Prof. Lee Mender will give you a lesson of twisted house music that you won’t be ready to forget any time soon.

- Audio Werner :
Audio Werner has been involved in electronic dance music since 1989. From collecting & mixing records, organizing underground parties, starting to produce first own tracks and studying sound research & media arts, Audio Werner managed to take his music passion one step further and create the label Hartchef Discos together with his friends Erk Richter and Holger Schneider. Since then he has produced many as unique as timeless releases that have found home at famous djs' record bags. His music creations have been pressed to the most high profile labels like Perlon, Circus Company, Hello?!Repeat, Musique Risquee. In 2008, Audio Werner has been working hard on his highly anticipated upcoming album and his new live set which the crowd is always looking forward to. More releases and further gigs all over the globe are coming up for Werner, who raises that bar on each production and performance he realizes.

- Lemos (live):
Despite being merely in his early twenties, George ‘Lemos’ Laimos is recognised as one of the major new talents of the electronic scene. Like his compatriot and good friend Kreon, he hails from Athens and has spent the majority of his life either making or playing music. Seven years’ piano gave him an early musical grounding before switching to the other end of the scale (and fulfilling a teenaged dream) by playing guitar in a punk band.
In his later teen years he started getting into jazz and funk sounds and musicians like Booker T and the Mg's, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Benny Goodman and Louis Prima, whilst simultaneously building up a collection of house and techno. Listening to this new music, and imagining how his own sound might develop, he bought his first drum machines and synths, learnt how to play clarinet and saxophone and started experimenting. He realised that there were no confines in making electronic music and soon fell in love with it.
The truth is that after all this time you still cant truly define the Lemos sound and you cant put a label on it. Is it techno? Is it house? Is there a minimal taste at the same time? Maybe we will find out in 2009. More good stuff is on the way through labels Cecille, Resopal and 8Bit. The story will continue..but as for now, dear students, be ready for a captivating live set that will drive you nuts!

- Samybo :
Samybo is proudly representing the new school of the French electronic scene. Born in the sweet South of France and now livig in Barcelona, this 22 year old dj has not finished to amaze you. Heading the label room 613 with his partner in crime Lee Mender, his productions are a powerful mix of latin beats, percussions and twisted basslines. His other project « Charles S.B » is the other jazzy side of this remarquable character. In fact, and as all our artists this night, we are not talking anymore about djs, but about real musicians and true music lovers.
His captivating releases on Room 613, Bambu Records and on the NYC-Buenos Aires based Airdrop label have been charted by several established djs throughout the year.
