Jazz

Post by S.D.L »

More and more I'm getting into jazz. But, I've no idea where to look for some good old and new jazz. So, for all the mnml heads, enlighten me with your favorite jazz sounds. Point me in the right direction..

"miles davis - kind of blue" is always a good start.

"dave brubeck - take five" is my favourite song of all time.

anything coltrane, thelonius monk, or satchmo is a good bet. django reinhardt is a good place to look, too, for a very different style and sound.

and really...

there's so many styles of jazz its almost impossible to make educated recommendations without blindly throwing sh!t out there.
