mixing engineers.

Post by glasser »

I searched but didn't find an answer...

can someone point me to the right thread.

Looking for a mixing engineer... NOT a mastering engineer... but someone to help EQ and shape and help develop the overall sound and apply their own expert ear to the track.

Who have you used before that you trust?

How much can I expect to pay for something like this?

What are your thoughts on the whole process of letting someone else EQ and mix your tracks?

Looking for a mixing engineer

Post by ASR »

HI,

I do mix minimal, house, techno, all electronic music.
currently working on a new cut for Jens Holmes.
feel free to ask info or send an mp3 link so i would have a quick idea of your work.

the way i work:

-i'll receive your trax in WAV 24bit 44,1Khz via yousendit or other service
-leave 1 bar clean before each track
-avoid clipped tracks, but have your sound transparant enough and with enough volume.
-name your trax
-make a scheme with what you want in case special request (fx...)
-do not adjust the volume of your tracks over their length
-do not compress your tracks too much when you record them
-go online with skype/msn to discuss online the sound/fx/wishes...
-i'll do the mixdown on 3dB Headroom so you can easily have them mastered in the mastering studio. (output on WAV 24bit/44,1KHZ stereo interleaved)
-i mix max 64 tracks

feel free
