Süd celebrate 5 years of promoting minimal techno events in London .
> From a basement of a turkish cafe in dalston , to a basement of a
hairdresser on bricklane , recording studios in stoke newington , an old factory on cambridge heath road , an arch in hackney , plastic people , the rhythm factory , troy , the list goes on . We were amongst the first to bring many of the minimal techno / glitch/pogo whateva you , want to call it , artists to London . Jay Haze , who played the most sick final scratch set , Jan Jelinek / Farben (3times) , Sutekh ( 5 times ) , Safety Scissors , Andy Vaz , Jeff Milligan , Mikael Stravostand , Frivolous , e.t.c.we also featured a superb semi live set from our friend from wales Steevio from Mindtours ; Portable honed his live skills at these nights ; a dj set from Juan Atkins , the list goes on .
This will be the first in a series of 3 celebratory events . From end of September to December . Kicking things of with

Mike Shannon
Mike Shannon has been on the fore front , of what has become known as the canadian scene .
Raised in Kitchener Ontario, Mike began mixing records at fifteen with incisive extrapolations of acid house and techno before branching off to other elements of the electronic genre that manifest as diamond-edged production skills.
He later founded Pulse Productions , which brought international artists to kitchner .Artists such as Panty Tec , Kevin Yost , Boo Williams , e.t.c.
1999 saw him launching his legendary Cynosure imprint , in toronto . In 6 years cynosure launched the careers of artists such as Mossa , and has also released material by Deadbeat , Bucci , J Hunsberger , Shannon , et.c.
In 2000 Mike embarked on his first european tour alongside Jeff Milligan .
The pair's highly individualized mixing and sonic presentation left a favourable impression on European audiences and by 2001, Shannon caught the attention of the Force Inc. Music Works imprint, which signed his full-length debut, "Slight of Hand."
In the same year Mike & Jeff pulled their respective labels together , Cynosure and Revolver and moved to Montreal . They exchanged ideas and joined forces , with Akufen , Deadbeat , Crackhouse e.t.c., and vowed to support each other and new and upcoming canadian artists . Since then Mike Shannon has played all over the world , from Panorama bar in berlin , watergate also in berlin , Club Vissionares in Berlin , Rockets in Osaka , Liquid Rooms in Tokyo , Fabric , Mutek , Chile , Montreal , Mexico , and the list goes on .
His work has also appeared on various mix cd's such as Richie Hawtin's DE9 To The Edit Mix , to Akufen's Fabric mixes .
He has also done remixes for artists such as Akufen , Deadbeat , e.t.c.

Claro Intellecto
Mark Stewart aka Claro Intelecto first made an appearance in early 2003 - his remarkable “Peace of Mind” 12” fast becoming the most discussed dancefloor debut for years and one of the biggest 12” ‘s that year . Hailed instantly as a classic . Tough , deep productions , with not a falter on sight . Massive Detroit influences .
Claro Intelecto's Neurofibro album is a masterpiece of continuously shifting mood and tempo – controlling the floor from the Theo Parrish paced deep house of 'Percentages' to the piano-driven soundscaping of 'Baudrillards Supper' to the crushing Warehouse acid of 'Back' to the already classic sounding generic hybrids of EP hits 'Chicago', 'Peace of Mind', 'Section' and 'Contact'. The simple fact is that Techno albums don't tend to work. When they do, everyone sits up and takes notice.
His Remixes for Pendle Coven and Vector Lovers were also massive .
He promises to play some new and old warehouse inspired 4/4/ bangers to quote him , and I for one can not wait .

Fail Hdj
Sheik Ahmed , otherwise known as Fail HDJ is the man behind the now defunct Absorb online magazine . one of the most comprehensive sites , which featured extensive reviews , listings of all things electronic , in the UK and beyond . One of the few left field , music journos in the UK .
He also plays a mean traktor set . Fail Hdj has been regularly playing at the Warp records party alongside artists such as , Marco Passarini , Rob Hall Ceephax Acid Crew e.t.c. With all the promos this man gets , his Süd debut , promises to be tasty !
Marco Shuttle
Marco regularly plays in London . His own Guerilla Lime & Soda night is becoming a Bricklane institution . I have been meaning to book Marco for ages .
Lakuti
Lakuti , promotes the Süd events , as well as co runs the Süd imprint and has a rather impressive record collection . Brittski will Provide the 16 mm film imagery
