It's true, first my Electribe went, then the controller for the Korg Legacy, then my mixer, now another controller and my speakers are crackling too. If you think it's down to paranoia, think again.

i never smoke or allow anyone to smoke in my studio.

the door is only 2 metres away.

i know if a piece of gear has not been exposed to a smokey environment then it's usually listed as a selling feature if it is ever sold second hand.

It's getting an overhaul soon, redecorating etc, I'll be smoking outside from then on for definite.

you got all sorts of chemical compounds in cigarette smoke, and they surely harm your equipment when it comes to build up.
