They used to mix with the croud, i mean like play the music on the fly, making sure that the crowd keeps dancing..

If the tracks you prev. selected (synced/warped and stuff) dont work and you keep playing them, well, you might just play for an empty house if you know what i mean...

And warping the tracks while playing doesnt look that good, and you might even get it wrong if you hurry up.

Now why would someone want not to use headphones, is it part of a live act where the djs do crazy tricks with their heads, or what? :) (jokin)

i dont get that guy , why he doesnt use a midi controller and ableton , atleast he doesnt need to fake that much..

I've been doing the following... I have traktor pro set up with a hercules rmx console. I take very minimal, or ambient music and DJ it, while adding the percussion elements with an electribe esx. I think it's a combination of DJing and live performance which has a lot of potential

yup It has a lot of potentional.

Ableton live in my opinion is very nice, but You will have to sync your hardware with software to get best results.
