Most people that are called Liberals are not Liberal, they're Socialist.
Libertarianism is the exact opposite of Socialism.
libertarian is what republican used to mean. I still call myself a republican though even though in modern politics Id probably be considered a libertarian.

I applaud your attempt at apparently trying to turn something simply innocuous into a political viewpoint takeover. Let me explain to you where your flawed logic ultimately fails and you seem to either ignore or dismiss.

Humans use expressive means. They like to take their feelings of things and put them into the lyrics of their music, a painting or portrait, a drawing or sketch, a poem, writing, and etc.. These are all forms of expression and have been tools of people to express themselves in the USA clear back to our firm establishment near 1776. There is also evidence that humans very much like the ones here from the last 200 years that existed 2000 years ago and even 20,000 years ago also used these same tools to express themselves in a creative or entertaining way. Unless that was all some fraud of a conspiracy that conservatives cooked up so they could change the music that we create.

Music is music. Politics don't change music. Peoples ideology doesn't change music, it may alter the message in THEIR composition but it certainly doesn't make music left or right and frankly to say that it does or even give the slightest allusion that politics controls the color of music is fairly ignorant and shows the lack of depth you yourself actually have as a logical human being.

Just saying.

Posting politics on a music production forum and trying to create a correlation. Doesn't it seem just the slightest bit useless?

^^^^^

i have never been patronised by someone as stupid as you. congrats.
your comments make it clear that you've misunderstood me a lot.

my favorite is that you think that the social landscape in berlin, uk and detroit during the 80s and 90s were innocuous. yes innocuous times indeed for the youths of those countries. nothing much happening that became intertwined with the music. no one was swept up in the idea of some new departure.

also, here is a few really obviously political bands/artists.

public enemy.
the clash.
gang of four.
the minute men.
bob dylan.
black flag.

^^ very true

Socialist = hi, sure you can stay on our land and eat our food

Libertarian = get off my land or I'll blow your brains out

(forgot the  - don't take me too seriously folks, I'm as mod as they get, meaning I definitely get weary around extremists of any kind...In fact I'm an extreme MOD! (-) )

The music being innocuous. Sorry that was over your head. Good try there though at trying to twist what I actually said into something else. Very... Liberal Playbook of you.

Actually

Socialist = that guy doesnt have food even though he knows where the seeds are and how to grow it. He also has a fishing pole and a rifle. Just never cared enough to try and hunt fish or farm.

So we are going to take the food of those that tried and feed him

Libertarian and TRUE Republican = That guy doesnt have any food. tell him to take his fishing pole to the lake and catch a fucking fish already just like all of us do.

The guy who refuses to get his own food and The guy that works hard to make sure he has his food are both equaly able to produce minimal techno though.
