EDM is cyclic, so I guess when Alex Young & friends will start making tracks called "Housalistic" and "Housecongas" and even the crappiest italian digital labels will switch to tribal samples, we'll start seeing better quality minimal once again. :)
it is now happening, at least here,
changing the names ("alex young") and nationality...
and yes, i can still hear mnml i like
but it is not what has become "mainstream".

While genre names are stupid, I agree that there's still a lot of good-sounding "minimal" out there... the new Maetrik comes to mind. It just sucks that its drowned by all these bullshit tracks that are released everyday. I remember I started liking a-certain-kind-of-techno because it was weird, abstract and glitchy and now 99% of minimal is the complete opposite: boring, predictable and badly produced.

Give it some time and we'll start seeing some innovation again :D.
