Totally... Luciano's set last year was my favourite... so deep and stripped down with nice dry kicks and spazzy sounds :)

I thought the sound was OK at the beginning but did start to suffer as the night went on... when hawtin played i got myself right at the sweet spot of the system and it sounded nice, but needed more power... they should have had more speakers, like the cocoon arena at Dancevalley 2001... that soundsystem was SICK

very much looking forward to this year though, am going to stay in brussels before and after in a nice hotel :)

Anyone know any good record shops in brussels?

There is an record store called "USA Import" (how ambiguous) in Antwerp which is quite good.
Not in Brussels but maybe worth visiting. Belgium is not that big .

thanks guys...

am considering going to ghent a bit early in the day and looking in a few shops there too... :)

I found a small 2nd hand shop in brsussels when I was there with a g/f before... managed to find a fym/s-max thing on 7th city which was nice and odd... but the shop wasn't an electronic specialist :/

I am very open-minded for new things like... a techno dj-set by Tiësto. If he's going to do that (assuming that he will be booked) I will surely check that. Monumental (organisator of Awakenings) has once proposed to book Tiësto for an Awakenings party. Unfortunately, the members of the Awakenings-messageboard voted this proposal away, how narrow-minded can you be? :x.
