The old house vocals to me sound horrible.

Don't be sorry about it. I tended to be ashamed to dislike this classic house sound.

And it is the same for Detroit techno... when I say that I really dislike Underground Resistance (and I love to say that it is really overrated to fight for fun

), my older friends say that it's a shame!

But hey, you don't have to be in love with pionneers! you just need to respect

no concept-album bullshit, no narrative, just 8 tracks that work like a charm on the dancefloor. State of house (yes, even with the cliched house sample) is the standout for me.

not a bullshit, show me some narrative, conceptual tracks from the 100%pure family. there are none, they represent some other sound, this is some music for the dancefloor.
