I used to use the Sonalksis filters to DJ. Didn't take up much CPU and worked well.

Try using TC Native Bundle (VST) - http://www.tcelectronic.com/nativebundle.asp

It has veeeeery good sound! EQ and Reverb is awesome in this pack

I use only this.
