then the x-station should be perfect :)

A friend of mine has got one... it sounds very cool, basically a xio with way more controlls & build in audio interface. The Interface is also good sounding.

3in1...great Controller, good sounding Synth & Audio interface - thats what i call "portable" :D

Here are some demo vids, which showcase some of the x-stations sounds

Ive tested one at my local record shop and they are a solid product, very nice controller.
It comes with all the right stuff, keys feel nice, drumpad, rotaries, faders.
I wouldnt mind getting one, actually.

I'm assuming the Audio interface of the X-station is much better than that of the old m-audio Ozone/ozonic?

any feedback on that?

pretty amazing nonetheless these can do so much in one machine.

Although the MPK-49 is real quality, I couldn't stand the spongy keys. You can't go wrong with an X-Station and they can be found pretty cheap used these days. Never tried an SL, but I heard they're good for the mapping thing with DAW's. If you can do your own mappings, then the X-Station is ideal. Plus you get a decent feeling keybaord, unlike MPK-49.
