A friend of mine has got one... it sounds very cool, basically a xio with way more controlls & build in audio interface. The Interface is also good sounding.
3in1...great Controller, good sounding Synth & Audio interface - thats what i call "portable"

anyone own an akai mpk49?

Although the MPK-49 is real quality, I couldn't stand the spongy keys. You can't go wrong with an X-Station and they can be found pretty cheap used these days. Never tried an SL, but I heard they're good for the mapping thing with DAW's. If you can do your own mappings, then the X-Station is ideal. Plus you get a decent feeling keybaord, unlike MPK-49.
