I've always been gutted about not getting in to djing more..or at all for that matter...but now I see there is a way..I'll just rip someones set off and pretend it was me

but we don't know, he might be able to look at the vinyl's grooves and know when acting without any headphones... could it be the trick?

He's mixing with CDs... or probably with one CD only...

Or maybe he's doing the trick like Frankie Wild in "it's All Gone Pete Tong", he got giant subwoofer attached to his feet to be able to beatmatch!

headphones are fairly useless for me while doing a live pa.

Anyone from the UK remember a boxer by the name of Nigel Benn ?

He did a tour of clubs as a DJ - dunno if he still does but he once played a club we frequented and would often be backstage.

So he's like - Standing revving up the crowd, and occasionally leafing through a record box picking out some tracks and then giving it to his mate - who is subsequently mixing it for him.

I'd call that a proper 'Live PA' as in Live Personal Appearance - as in - he was alive and he was there in person.

yeh... but are monitors are worse ... i can't hear sh!t usually during a live pa. i usually use headphones for reference.

oh yeah... and how do yo uget live to recocknize your midi devices after you've unplugged them... i would imagine their whole liveset was hosed after that unless they rebooted.
