thx for the info guys really helpfull, i was on the play and produce event in Ghent, and they also recommend me the rme ore motu devices, so further investigation....

didnt want to start a new thread, so ill just hijack this one 
The Motu & RME interfaces are just a bit to expensive for my taste, so i just wanted to know if anyone of you has got a "Mackie Onyx Sattelite"... the price is very good for a firewire interface, i heard it sounds good and the modular system is kinda cool.
Any opinions on that Mackie ?
