nice about flac and ableton.. didnt know that..
but is there a program that can convert flac to wav, that works on windows vista 64 bit ?

I think MS-J helps if the bit rate is 256 or 224. Dithering can also be your friend, but usually not.
It's compressed audio. Some songs require different settings, depending on how they sound.
I use Audition for mp3 encoding.
I rip with ITunes.
