SkyBoy (the alias of 22-year-old Tiziano Scocco from Rome) first made a splash earlier this year with his remix for Orlando Voorn on Tic Tac Toe. ToysForBoys now issues his first EP entitled Spanish Trip. "About the Rhythm" is a four-on-the-floor thumper distinguished by an unknown gentleman recalling a conversation he had… "Rhythm makes everything move, the seasons swing, and backs up the elements…" SkyBoy manipulates the vocals and introduces the swaggering melody that bounces around the beats. "Last Night in Barcelona" is even more kinetic, with a whizzing synth line that sounds a fly trying to escape out the window, bumping into the glass with endless determination. Marcus Vector strips down "About the Rhythm" into a deep, laid-back groover, until Jeik brings the bounce back with his own energized interpretation. This promising, varied debut shows that the Sky is the limit with this talented Boy.
