Thats the charm of collecting IMO. You look at it and think, I would never do that but you can admire that person for willing to invest so much into it.

Secondly, whether the music is badly mastered or just plain bad i still think it should be preserved bacause its part of human culture, pop culture.. whatever you want to call it.

How about Sergey from Google or Bill Gates.. They could easily buy it and make it accessible to the world via the net.. The only problem is that it will have to be compressed

I collect elvis collectors... I pin them on wooden boards like butterflies and other insects.

we all have a bit of this guy in us.

my parents have that Rolling Stones record sealed as well, I'm not very impressed...

If the archive is so important, why doesnt he get the library of congress or the smithsonian to digitize it? or at least get a Music University to purchase it and build it into a library.

probably because that most of that music is crap

I do wonder about all the undiscovered "Amen" Breaks amongst the collection however...

it could spawn a whole new genre of EDM
