True that! Second life had some big money backing it and it backfired. It was to become this giant online marketing machine but the people preferred their real. I heard that U2, Duran Duran, Tiesto did gigs so why not do it..

Membership is free now so if you perform i'll come watch for sure :D

i have already problems of (lack of) time with my "analog" life, i think i could never afford spending time in a second (virtual) one...

ops... i didn't read the second part of the original pheek's post.
yes of course, if they pay good $$ and you don't have to invest too much time and energy i would suggest doing it!

I think the investors were hoping that the general public had such low regards of themselves (as a result of advertising) and needed a place to escape to where people can live out their dream.
