i thought alot of the stuff on his fabric mix was pretty cheesy, but mostly just boring

i find the likes of joseph capriati, massi dl, lucio aquillini and most of them beatport minimal techno tracks to be cheese.

i dont think mayer is cheese at all. its emotional feel good music.

i find a lot of Kompakt stuff cheesy.

ahh, come on, i didn't mean it in a bad way. but, "amanda" is sooo cheesy. but a cool track anyway, not all cheese is bad cheese.

For real? Maybe you mean cliche or "standard"? There isn't really any epic elements or vocals in most of their tracks to be considered cheese. Sure, the music is a bit typical but its mostly just drums so its pretty hard to define it as cheese. Michael Mayer on the other hand can play some feel-good music but the sh!t is incredibly tongue-in-cheek. His fabric mix cd is one of my favorites of all time but some of the tracks like the Heiko Voss stuff is incredibly cheesy with the poppy lyrics.

I think people are confusing the terms boring, cliche, typical, and predictable with cheese. Cheesy music is usually over the top and trite, to the point of melodramatic. Then again, this forum is composed of members who mainly use english as a second language so you can't expect everyone to be on the same page.
