the weirdest error i've seen (it's getting worse)

Post by menos160 »

hey there, well i've just had some problems with my pc.
i opened massive, opened some files... and after that opened live 6, which was the first time i opened the 2 of them at the same time.

the first thing i saw in ableton is this error message:

Image

well, i tried to re-install my ASIO drivers, but therefore i got this same error msg.
but, with my directx/mme drivers all works fine, despite the latency and quality...
i just want to open my ableton live and work with my ASIO drivers!

can you help me please? i deserve it because i just am not looking for Gaiser kicks or sumthing like that.

some friend told that it was an error of my 2 soundcards, because of some master & slave stuff i cannot remember now.

thanks in advance

1. All of your soft is legal?
2. Use Asio4All drivers always. Simply reinstall it.

had a similar problem before,
disable your main sound card in device manager, and u shouldnt have any problems. dont turn on your sound card until you have rebooted. then connect it and turn it on and it should be fine.

some sound cards work oddly together.

also get, "asio for all" so if your arent pluging in your main card, you can still use asio settings. some say that it improves latency issues even with a basic internal soundcard, but im not sure, but it might.

Why use Asio4All when you have good and stable driver from your soundcard?

well, i got a copy of live 6 LE with mi MIDI controller, so it's kinda legal i think...

and the drivers who are working on both of my soundcards are ASIO and directx/mme... But i had ASIO as default.

but, as i told you, i reinstalled it and the same frigging problem... i'll try Atheory's solution later and i'll tell you.

thanks!

hmm, did you open massive in stand alone before you opened live 6 le?
don´t really remember how it works on windows but Live might want exclusive access to your soundcard.

Ahh, I have no idea. :?
