My friends are staying there during the Euro 2008 and are looking for decent clubs.
Anyting with quality dance music goes. Minimal, House, Techno, Drum & Bass.. anyone?

I'm from Salzburg. The most important club for techno and "sometimes" minimal is The Cave-Club...

minimal is NON existent in austria 
and most technoclubs didnt develop here (lack of "ravers"/producers). if u make a minimal party richie hawtin is like the ONLY dj who can attract people here.
josh wink/troy pierce lately played in near empty clubs (nova sattled - think this club will make a summer break, its hosted by eric fisher who invented the legendary danub raves, revival this year @ 11. october).
just look @ that event calender and u will see urself :/ ->
check for salzburg/vienna/oberoesterreich(upper austria)

the good producers either left this country long time ago (abe duque) or changed their style to jazz/experimental (pulsinger, well still he released dogmatiq sequences 3 last year

the young kids either want schranz partys or go to trash clubs
