innit I sample manhattan from eric johnson- the guitar virtuoso. I did it all live at gig a couple of days ago. thats why it sounds kind of "mix-y":

This is neat. Closer to proper house than I've heard here recently, and I really love house. I think that the guitar loop is really really loud and could use some EQ love. I haven't looked at the track under a multimeter, but I would suspect that you could make the whole mix stand out by a clean up of the spectrum on the loop (the 909 gets lost in the mix).

Don't get discouraged if nobody's commenting on your tracks. You're not making music to make yourself feel important, you make it because it fulfills you emotionally.

nah I make it because I like to feel important :o

guitar doesn't sound too loud here?
I redid the first riff at home- I put it to tape so maybe it's a bit warmer for you?

Woah, tape! I just got a Teac 1/4'' recorder. What are you using for your final bounce? Do you have any recommendations on types of tape I could use?
What sort of warming do you see and how hot do you send the signal into the tape recorder?

I have a 1/2 inch tascam 22-2 running at 15ips. Its okay, I want something a bit better. Something with a pitch control.

I don't usually bounce entire tunes to it- just kicks, bass and whatnot.

I don't know what to recommend for tape- some tapes work better for different machines and vice versa. I just use old stock 3m for now

can't remember the track i heard using the same sample, but what you did of it is great! Far more creative actually than what i'd heard.
digging this one a lot. Are you going to do a proper mix of it?
Actually I love it until the breakdown. then it becomes too housy for me.... still its a great track none the less. Would love to hear a keagan minimal rmx of this one ;)
