i am considering going to Sonar but I am not very convinced with the line-up. it'll be my first time in Barcelona so I can take advantage of the festival to party and to visit the town...

Suggestions for a perfect trip?

Avoid typical tourism centre of the city. Maybe spend a little time trying to find any place no so sunk in the centre (noisy, dirty, and only focused to tourists). There are going to be lots of parties in June (sonar time), many of them aren't legal so maybe you have to be sure cops won't come to sh!t it.
There are great clubes like Nitsa and Razz but for those dates they will be overcrowed, try to look to any more underground place (Near in PobleNou things will happend).
Pay for a good silence hostal, if you want to recover from partying.
And the most important thing....bring a lot of suncream. Yeah!, sun here in June is fire. I don't understand how people think about catching tan in one day...!!, I even recomend to stay at the beach until 11a.m. then being out and going back to beach at 18p.m.
